Sorry, haven’t been writing. So what has been happening?

Yay: New toys - Treo 750v, photo printer, misc buys from IT Show, normal xray result (after some chest pains)

Augh: Cracked windscreen, recurring gastric problems, Treo 750v (yes this is also an ‘augh’!)

It’s funny. I still miss the 650 for its nicer 320 x 320 (vs 240 x 240) screen, SPEED and ease of use. It’s not a matter of whether you can handle complicated stuff, it’s how an easier device like the 650 can integrate so much more seamlessly into one’s life through its thoughtful functions such as auto num lock in number fields (doesnt work all the time in WM5), ability to scribble directly on a photo before sending it out…

The 750 is cool because of its sheer feature set. There are things to like about it but horrible things too, like to soft reset the Treo just to use the Wifi card? Or wait 4 seconds for the start menu to pop up? Also why decide to map my left softkey permanently to Email and no option to change that?

But thanks to the wonders of the online Treo community, quite a few useful hacks have made it better. I am still seeking total acceptance of the 750 though… the 650 remains tucked in my bag, faithfully waiting for me when I still need it… (haven’t ported all my data over yet)
