Ah so it’s Friday and the office is so quiet as most are away for training this morning. I am so glad the week is coming to a close. It has been a busy one running here and there and pecking away at the Thinkpad trying to catch up with all my work. It feels like I am running on a treadmill that never stops, sometimes.

Wifey is taking over the wheel at least once a day now, and usually on weekends as well so that’s good. I think her driving is better than mine as in she is much more patient! It’s so nice to be the passenger at times, I see so much more - airplanes landing or taking off as we speed past the runway to ECP each morning, drivers doing strange things (like eating, picking their nose, singing), a new building I never noticed, the colours of the sky… I still love to drive but I think it’s a nice balance for now.

The big tech news is, of course, the release of the new fancy Apple iPods. I shan’t even bother to post pictures and all but I think the iPod Touch is cool though too limited at 16gb. For all it can do you would WANT to have your full music library in there - more album covers to flip through with Coverflow! I think my strategy would be to get an iPhone (once proper unlocking software is ready) and then get a 160gb iPod Classic to house my 40gb music collection (now increased two-fold thanks to Dave’s amazing electro-poppy tunes :)) And to complete the picture, a nice new MacBook Pro. But well that all has to wait… I am quite ok with my Powerbook + iPod Nano (for er the occasional run) + iPod U2 though the PB and U2 are rapidly showing signs of old age…
Well that’s it for now. I am really looking forward to the weekend starting tonight, watching ratatouille tonight and I have been really anticipating that… dinner with friends… and hopefully an early night to wake up at 6am tomorrow to be at Marina at 7am for a car race (think Amazing Race style)… going to stay at the Ritz for a night too and I think that will be a refreshing change though I think the one-time entry/exit complimentary parking is a little stingy though.
