Korea, Windows and some new toys
Published February 24th, 2008 in day to dayOk it’s been too long since I wrote. A tiny one here first, then I hope to expand.
I have been too busy since I came back from ~12 days away from the office - I went to Korea and it was a great trip. More on that in another post to come (hopefully).
Windows? Ya… I setup a home PC along with W and thanks to him it’s a great system I think. Enough to play most current games… It’s strange coming back to Windows but I’d say that while it is a little interesting it has also made me appreciate OSX more. Like I felt nearly disgusted with the fact that I had to install a PDF reader/writer, Quicktime/etc. when all these are so very much part of OSX easily. Usability issues aside, well at least the system seems quite stable.
Another new toy is a used N800 Internet Tablet. It’s quite nifty, doubling up as a voip phone (was useful in Korea), a PMP (decent video playback without conversion for the videos I have), even portable storage (I have 16gbs of storage in that!) and of course mostly uncrippled web access nearly anywhere I go (WIFI or Bluetooth “DUN”)…
OK I hope to write again… tell then hope all’s well with you all!
