So the Palm Centro (GSM version) is finally coming to Singapore, ready for sale on 6th March - probably launched at the IT Show. It’s now ‘showing‘ at Palm’s Singapore website as well.

I am tempted. I love my Treo 650 and to me this Centro is a more compelling upgrade than 680, given its smaller size. I think it has a faster processor though, some say, though same clock speed at 312mhz, it’s xscale vs the older pxa270. I may be wrong here but well just looking for reasons to ‘upgrade’.

Yes most will say what’s the big deal? No wifi, no 3G… but GPRS is good enough for me… esp since I have the n800 with me most of the time now.

I wish it came in all black though, and I mean all black including the area around the navigation keys. The all white version to be released in Singapore looks quite ok though, at least it’s without the ugly (IMHO) green keys.  Someone said it really looks like the gPhone but well.. .
