Vpower - going the extra mile(s)?

I received a small stack of fuel vouchers for my birthday (thanks people in War Room!), and decided to fill my ride with premium Vpower from Shell.

That was last, LAST Sunday, the 1st of June.

I had to refuel. Today.

My full tank lasted for 8 days! Wow! Look at the meter below, which I have a habit of resetting with each refuel. 552km on one tank!

Now yes I am making a big deal of it because I usually average about 490km per tank on Esso 95. And that’s a lot of difference. Driving style wise - same. Not big difference. Still drove the car everyday. Usually I have to refuel every 5 days or so but 8 days! Wow…

If you do the math (I am too lazy) it seems the extra I pay for Vpower is more than easily covered by the extra miles.

Awesome.

What’s your experience with Vpower or other premium fuels?

Always has been using BP Ultimate 98. There wasn’t Shell V-Power (98) and the quality was doubted (the mix), some people actually prefer BP Ultimate 98 over Shell. With BP Ultimate the engine is definitely running smoother, much more responsive, less emission and 50km more than if I use normal unleaded (91). Either I use 98 or I go hybrid.

Well in Singapore we have either 95 or 98. Vpower is apparently above 98. And we don’t have BeePee. :-)

    I guess petrol does play a part…
