Here I go with my lunchtime post…

Some of us lucky ones in Singapore enjoyed a 4 day weekend when the office decided to close on Monday in addition to Tuesday, thanks to Hari Raya and Deepvali. How did you spend yours?

For me…

Friday: Went to m1, checked out the 750v - it feels good (has that rubbery feel) but.. sigh. Whine-dohs OS… started to cough a bit… throat feels kinda like sandpaper.

Saturday: Went for a haircut… finally. Wifey said I was starting to look like a certain Korean actor. Hmmm.

Sunday: Started to feel worse - coughing, sneezing and my throat really hurts with each swallow (no Zoe Tay jokes please)…

Monday: Drove wifey to work and immediately after went for free meds at Raffles Medical… not my top choice but well - free. Doc was ok though super defensive - prescribed some meds and off I went… I even skipped RT today.. the first time I did. This means I have to do RT two days in a row later this week. Sigh.

Tuesday: Felt really bad that I am not doing ‘holiday stuff’ with wifey during this tiny break, so after watching a movie (The Prestige) at Suntec, we drove down to.. Sentosa. Looong queues leading towards Vivocity but thankfully we were not heading there. We went straight for the Luge, and took 3 rides each! The first one was a long wait, but subsequently, enpowered with an ink stamp on my hand, we could bypass the ‘1st-luge-of-the-day’ queue and immediately go for our second (and third) ride! It’s quite fun all in all, wish the luge road was longer so I can really speed up. Also kinda strange taking a chair lift in tropical Singapore - I always thought my first chair lift experience will be amid snow and such rather than lotsa trees and hot air… I reckon sweating a little was also good for me. Went home after that - I hit the bed shortly and to my surprise, slept straight through from ~5pm till this morning at 7am! That’s some 14 hours of sleep. Wow! Felt better after that though a stuffy nose still lingers… wifey was an angel to clean up the home while I slept through…

So falling ill during a looong weekend is really quite a shitty thing but am grateful for the rest. Well back to the grind…
